He was the ancestor of the previous Original Dreamscape bats. BatWing was a happy go lucky bat. Despite his parent always telling him that because of his lineage, he had a duty to find a way to help his fellow bats, and support the connection and shared dreams with the Dreamscape, BatWing just wanted to have fun! He would go to the Bat Council meetings because he was expected to but mostly he just slept through them. And even if he didn't, he would keep his eyes closed so that no one would call on him or ask for his input. He was not taken seriously by the council, but was tolerated because of who his parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc had been. One council meeting when he was feigning sleep, he was trying to compose a song in his mind. BatWing liked music and though he was a budding musical genius. Ok so he was shocked, almost to opening his eyes when his muse was disturbed by the Council suddenly discussing if he was asleep, and deciding he was asleep enough to discuss the overthrow. It was simple thanks to help from Phoebeus. They would help them turn sections of the Dreamscape dark and bring the daytime to nightime. No one would notice. The humans were celebrating a holiday they called The Bash.......The Halloween Bash. They would think that this was just a part of it and once it was night enough, the day would never come back. The bats would be able to rule in all areas of the world. It would always be night, their time to rule. BatWing knew this was bad, and he was smart enough to know that he had to make sure to pretend he was asleep and that he didn't hear about it.
